OFS is bundled with Citect so it can be installed on the same machine and use the Citect license. But it just feels wrong introducing an OPC DA server when Schneider now have the UA server expert. My idea would be to bundle UA Server Expert with PlantSCADA as well as/instead of OFS.

OPC UA is the natural transition. This OPC UA Server component has been incorporated into OI Server (SMC configuration). My understanding is that OPC UA Server is embedded now on the newer PLC line (M580, etc). Understanding the roadmap of OPC UA Server Expert warrants further investigation .
